On 6 October 2025, VIPPSTAR was presented during the ERN-EYE Scientific Workshop 2025, bringing together clinicians, researchers, rehabilitation professionals, and patient representatives working in the field of visual impairment.

Hosted by the Robert Hollman Foundation, the workshop provided a space for European and international experts to exchange knowledge and experiences on a wide range of topics related to visual impairment. Discussions explored current challenges and opportunities in areas such as early intervention, rehabilitation, accessibility, assistive technologies, and support throughout different stages of life.

Within this context, VIPPSTAR was presented as a Horizon Europe project working to support the health, well-being, and autonomy of children and adolescents with visual impairment through personalised prevention strategies, digital tools, and multidisciplinary approaches. The workshop offered an opportunity to share the project's objectives and ongoing activities with professionals working on many of the same challenges addressed by VIPPSTAR.

The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration in improving support for people with visual impairment. By bringing together expertise from healthcare, research, education, rehabilitation, and patient organisations, the workshop encouraged dialogue across disciplines and perspectives.

Participation in the workshop offered an opportunity to connect with members of the wider visual impairment community, exchange experiences, and learn from ongoing initiatives across Europe. These exchanges help strengthen the project's network and contribute to a broader conversation on how to improve support, services, and quality of life for people with visual impairment.

The workshop was a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of VIPPSTAR among a specialised international audience and to contribute to discussions on the future of care, rehabilitation, and inclusion for people with visual impairment.
